Minimum processor and graphics requirements
S-GAME lists an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 for the minimum processor. The graphics choices are an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 with 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB. The associated target is 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled.
These components belong to a complete tier rather than a guarantee attached to one graphics card alone. The shared operating-system, memory, DirectX, and storage requirements still apply. Read the table as the developer’s configuration guidance, keeping the target conditions visible when comparing the list with your own computer.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10/11, 64-bit | Windows 10/11, 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i5-10600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |

| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |

| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
| Target (upscaling enabled) | 1080p / 30 FPS | 1440p / 60 FPS |
Recommended processor and graphics requirements
The recommended CPU is an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. Its listed graphics options are an RTX 3060 Ti with 8GB or Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12GB. The developer pairs that configuration with a 1440p, 60 FPS target using upscaling.
That target is different from the minimum tier in both resolution and frame rate. It should therefore be compared as its own published setup rather than blended with the minimum processor or a different rendering target. The same 16 GB RAM and SSD baseline remains part of the recommended list.
RAM, DirectX, Windows, and the SSD baseline
Both tiers specify 16 GB RAM and a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or 11. DirectX 12 is also listed, and SSD installation is required. These shared requirements are easy to overlook if a comparison focuses only on the graphics card.
Treat them as part of the published configuration rather than optional notes below the GPU. The checked text requires the drive type without supplying a storage-capacity number in gigabytes. This guide keeps that distinction intact, so a stated SSD requirement is not expanded into an invented download or installation size.
Ray-tracing recommendation
The official requirements announcement includes a separate ray-tracing target using an RTX 5060 with 8GB. It pairs that GPU with 1080p at 60 FPS and explicitly includes upscaling. That is a rendering-specific target beyond the ordinary minimum and recommended graphics lists.
A player interested in ray tracing should compare the feature and output target together. A card named in the standard recommended tier is not automatically the recommendation for every additional rendering option. Keep the published setup separate from a personal performance expectation, because the specification sheet is not a benchmark of every possible system.
Path-tracing recommendation
The developer separately names an RTX 5080 with 16GB for path tracing. The accompanying target is 2160p at 60 FPS with upscaling. This is another distinct graphics target, not a replacement for the shared Windows, memory, and SSD requirements.
The important comparison is the complete statement: rendering mode, named GPU, resolution, frame rate, and upscaling condition. Removing the last condition would make the target sound different from the one actually published. The table below keeps those details together so the high-end option can be read without confusing it with native-resolution testing.
Requirements are guidance, not an independent benchmark
Steam and Epic reproduce the core CPU, GPU, memory, and DirectX tiers published by S-GAME. Corsair’s summary also agrees with the minimum and recommended component choices. These cross-checks support the accuracy of the listed specifications, while remaining descriptions of the developer’s targets.
They do not measure the final game on your particular hardware. Use a complete tier to assess the published setup, then keep independent technical testing as a separate question. Our PC and review-status guides explain the available stores and the scope of the collected hands-on coverage without turning a requirement into a guaranteed result.
Where the game is officially listed
S-GAME’s pre-order announcement names PlayStation 5, Steam, and Epic Games Store as the purchase destinations. That establishes PS5 and PC as the announced launch platforms, with the PC version available through two named storefronts. Following the developer’s own links is a straightforward way to reach the correct game and edition.
The PS5 product page lists one player, and the PC storefronts also describe a single-player experience. Store choice should therefore begin with the platform you use and the edition you want, rather than an assumption about cooperative play. Our platform articles keep the console listing, the PC stores, and the Steam product identity separate so the relevant buying information is easy to find.
Standard and Digital Deluxe compared
The checked US storefronts list Standard at $59.99 and Digital Deluxe at $69.99. Standard supplies the game, while the advertised Deluxe package adds the Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form appearances, a digital artbook, and a digital soundtrack. These are the listed differences to compare when choosing between the two software editions.
Pre-order bonuses are a separate part of that purchase decision, rather than another name for the Deluxe extras. The developer lists early unlocks for Treasure Basin and the Legacy appearance, and says those pre-order items can also be obtained through progression. Check the edition and currency on the final storefront before paying, since a US list price describes that market rather than every regional checkout.
The current launch date and regional difference
The current announced release date is October 29, 2026, replacing the earlier September 9 date. S-GAME’s creative director set out that change in a June letter, and subsequent official announcements use the later date. The August PlayStation Blog recap adds that the release falls on October 28 in the US and select regions.
That regional note explains why an American store listing can show the previous calendar day without contradicting the worldwide announcement. Use the store for the platform and region where you intend to play when checking the date attached to your purchase. An older trailer remains useful historical media, but its original date should not replace the updated announcement when planning launch day.
How exploration fits around the fights
S-GAME describes Phantom Blade Zero as a semi-open adventure with handcrafted areas, rather than one huge unrestricted landscape. Its original introduction explains that the studio chose reasonably sized maps populated with activities instead of filling a continuous world with reused assets. The official store description also points to hidden passages and mechanisms, giving exploration a purpose beyond moving between encounters.
For a player, this means the world structure belongs alongside the combat when deciding what kind of experience to expect. Optional routes and discoveries are part of the advertised adventure, while the developer’s description stops short of promising sandbox freedom. Our open-world guide explains this structure in more detail and keeps the distinction between an interconnected environment and a conventional open world clear.
